Locanda La Raia is located in Gavi, a small region between the upper Monferrato and lower Piedmont, nestled amidst the vineyards, pastures and woods of La Raia.
Once a post station for travelers, Locanda La Raia is now a twelve‑room relais with suites, a MICHELIN Green Star restaurant, and a SPA.The careful choice of natural colors and materials, the antique 17th-century Piedmontese furniture combined with contemporary design objects, the family paintings and the ever-present flowers from the garden make this large house an authentic interpreter of the discreet beauty of this territory.
Every room of the Locanda, from the lounge to the dining room, dialogues with the surrounding landscape: the woods, fields and vineyards of a unique corner of Gavi. A garden of aromatic herbs welcomes guests, while a more extensive garden, created by the French Coloco team, collaborators of landscape architect Gilles Clément, is rich in local essences and fades into the rows of Cortese vines that surround the Locanda.
