Luca Bergamin encourages the readers of Corriere.it to discover Gavi. You can not miss the charm of Libarna ancient archaeological site, up to the mysterious Fort overlooking Gavi and the contemporary artworks of Fondazione La Raia within our estate.
Michael Beutler returns to the Raia with Oak Barrel Baroque, a work that resembles a country chapel, a small theatre, a refuge. Artdaily tells about this new project and the principles that inspired it.
On October 2, a new work by Michael Beutler for the La Raia Foundation was inaugurated: OAK BARREL BAROQUE . On this occasion was staged the performance of Aline Nari "Care Selve. Florilegio".
Michael Beutler, four years after his project BALES 2014/2017 , returns to Gavi to create Oak Barrel Baroque for Fondazione La Raia–arte cultura territorio, a work composed of wooden beams and barrique staves, inspired by the architecture of Palladio and the typical Italian churches in small town squares. A shelter, a place in which to linger, a small theater where the performance Care Selve. Florilegio by Aline Nari will be staged during the opening.
Chiara Gatti portrays a facet of art that is unknown yet fascinating: the artist residences. Places dedicated to creation and made available by foundations and institutions from all over the world. Also Fondazione La Raia hosts, for long periods of time, international artists, which are invited to gaze upon the Gavi scenery. Here we talk about Michael Beutler and his latest work of art.
As autumn approaches, Brian Noone of Departures invites readers to discover Locanda La Raia: a delightful weekend destination that combines outstanding food and wine and stylish rooms with the peace of the rolling Gavi hills. The magazine, published for American Express Platinum Card members worldwide, praises Locanda La Raia for its biodynamic farming, the elegance of its rooms, the quality of its Piedmontese cuisine and the blend of pastoral landscape and contemporary art. Finally, an invitation to taste Gavi DOCG Pisé "to get an idea of what the talented local winemakers can do".
Alessandra Piubello of Decanter, one of the world's most respected wine magazines, set off to discover Piedmont, among rolling hills planted with vines and food excellence admired all over the world. La Raia was one of the highlights of her journey: "a microcosm of well-being and an oasis of biodiversity: this enchanting place lets visitors immerse themselves in nature while tasting a selection of excellent Gavi wines". Then there is the Demeter-certified biodynamic farm, the rammed-earth winery, the farm stay with its restaurant, spa and pool, the Italian garden and the Foundation's contemporary artworks... an experience that, according to the journalist, once lived "will stay with you forever".
"Few places can instil a sense of peace like the gentle hills of Gavi, the landscape in which Locanda La Raia is set." Danilo Ascani of Marie Claire, who recently visited us, has no doubts: La Raia is "the ideal place for a holiday to restore body and soul". Thanks to tailored hospitality, fine dining and Tommaso Arrigoni's Michelin-starred cuisine, of course, but also to the Foundation's remarkable site-specific works, the Wine Tours and the tastings of La Raia's biodynamic wines. A unique and unforgettable journey... just like "a midsummer night's dream".
In the Corriere della Sera, Giorgio Rossi Cairo tells Maurizio Francesconi and Alessandro Martini how his passion for collecting art, and contemporary art in particular, began: from his first purchases to the creation of Fondazione La Raia together with his wife Irene Crocco.
An unmissable tour of our country among great wines, wonderful landscapes and amazing site-specific works. Since 2013 La Raia, through its Foundation, collaborates with international artists and their installations are now an integral part of our Wine Tour. No better program for the next autumn, we can’t wait to see you!
From July 19 to September 15 Tenuta cucco hosted "BIOMEGA Multiverso" the site-specific exhibition of Cosimo Veneziano.
